I have a question? Do we need to install sample data for Joomla 16 before using the templates?
I have installed sample data and installed JoomlaShopping-ET. I also
tried to enable menu via Module Manager, but still cannot see the
menus.
Please assist.

@sunny you have to set menus to module positions. We have a page about this. Check it out.

When I assign a menu item to a module, and save when I try to go back to make another change, the function stops – in essence I have been only able to make an assignment to a module once – any ideas?

The contacts templates don’t work right in Joomla 1.6.
That is a joomla problem.
